Hello, Readers. I hope you're enjoying your weekend.
Everyone who has read my blog for some time knows that I use affiliate links and programs to keep the content of my blog free. Well, at least that was the plan anyway. Well, yesterday I got an email from one of my new affiliate programs, Rakuten, telling me my account was suspended and I'm locked out. To date, I've not earned anything but 23 cents from my affiliates, and that was a year ago. I decided to continue anyway, especially with the Learning Japanese series because I would have loved to have had a totally free resource for learning Japanese when I was first beginning and I thought that someone else out there would find it helpful as well. Many times I've considered just closing up shop and letting this series end. However, as it is with helping others learn, I end up helping myself learn. All the research I put into finding the themes for each post, the vocabulary, researching the syntax of the sentences and speech patterns helps me learn new things too. So, I continued. And, I most likely will continue because it makes me feel good to think I've helped someone, even if I'll never see a penny from this endeavor. Going forward, however, I will be adding a notation at the end of each post listing the affiliates I use. Perhaps this is the reason Rakuten suspended my account, perhaps not. However, this way, it's clear that many of the links on this site are affiliate links. And if they're defined clearly on each and every post there can be no amiguity. I thank you for reading my blog. I hope it's been informative and helpful. I appreciate each and every one of you. And, I'll be back next week with another post in my Learning Japanese series. Until then, gambatte kudasai, please do your best and practice.
