I'm very impressed with this particular ad campaign. Not only does it involve a real, live treasure hunt, but it emphasizes the importance of getting out into the real world and exploring our wonderful country in a way that even had me (a Net junkie) smiling. Reminiscent of It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World; Masquerade; and other armchair treasure hunts, the Dodge Journey contest uses online clues and real world clues to help lead people to the hidden cars. Check out the search for the last Journey on http://www.youtube.com/Dodge. So kudos to the ad exec or execs who thought up this ad campaign! Way to go!

Ok, let's try this post again (see previous post detailing how Weebly deleted my post). I was surfing the internet when a friend called out from her computer, "The copy editors must be asleep." I asked her what she was referring to then went to read the article for myself. Here's the offending line: "...he likes to keeps the TV on to stay informed...." ** Ok, who dropped the grammar ball here? This is a writer for CNN, this is true. However, that's what copy-editors and proof-readers are for! Has CNN let all it's copy-editors and proof-readers go? And, it's not just CNN. Pick up any news paper, local or national, and you'll find a host of articles and stories with glaring grammar errors. Did journalism suddenly decide that typos and grammar errors don't matter? I'm not perfect and I've had typos and grammar errors before too. However, I'm not a journalist working for CNN or The New York Times or the LA Times. I can't afford to hire a proof reader for my posts. You'd think that maybe journalistic institutions would want their copy to be flawless. Maybe not. Maybe they think that readers won't notice or that good grammar and spelling really doesn't matter all that much. Maybe they're right. However, I have the opposite opinion. But again, that's only my opinion. Actually, once you get past the glaring grammar faux pax, it's a really interesting article about a handy hack that will selectively mute your TV for you. Read it for yourself. **Referenced article: Hacked TV remote will auto-mute Snookie for you Just as I was about to insert html into my last blog post (you can't see it because Weebly glitched again), Weebly closed my blog and returned to my list of blog pages, deleting my new post. Nice, right?
