Whether you're baking bread because you want to have bread when you want it or just like the smell of bread backing in your house, baking bread is a very worth while way to spend a Sunday afternoon. Personally, I'd go the whole nine yards to bake bread from scratch. However, most people don't have the time to go through the traditional bread making procedure. Luckily, there's a resource out there that can help you have fresh bread baking every day with minimal effort: by Jeff Hertzberg, M.D., and Zoë François.
I have to say that it takes more than 5 minutes to prepare and bake. However the authors clarify that by mentioning that the 5 minutes is "active" prep time after the dough has been made. Of course, rising time isn't counted seeing as you can be doing something else while the dough rises. So far I've made 4 beautiful loaves of bread that are seemingly foolproof (and believe me I've made major mistakes with them like wrong oven temp and not having a baking stone). This afternoon my house will smell like bread's-a-baking and that's because it IS! I use Google AdSense on this site. For the most part, I do NOT add affiliate links unless I completely agree with and/or endorse the products mentioned in those links. However, Google AdSense manages to have links to many things that I do not personally endorse. Yes, Google AdSense can be filtered--but to try to anticipate all the many things out there that I do Not endorse personally would be a daunting task.
With that said, just keep in mind that if it's a Google ad it might not reflect my personal opinion. So, please do not send me angry commentary regarding those links. Thank you. :) Thank you for reading and if you have any suggestions for future posts, please feel free to post in the comment section. |
