Well, the end of 2019 (when I last posted) and 2020 were a **** time for me. I lost my mother-in-law (not due to Covid) and then Covid hit wiping out my bank account and job prospects. It left me questioning the nature of the universe and all things related.
But now, it's 2021. It's a new year and I'm scheduled to get my vaccine soon. It's a good time to hope for better things. It's a good time to think of possibilities. And, I hope it might be a good time for a comeback. I apologize to my followers for leaving you hanging. However, I was in no frame of mind to continue in light of my life events. Remember, I'm not an expert in Japanese. I'm just someone learning just like you. And I wish I'd had a place to go for easy lessons and worksheets that were free to use when I began studying Japanese. That's why I set up this blog series. I'm going to need some time get back into the groove of creating and researching lessons but I'm up for the task. If you are too, then watch this space for what comes next. In the meantime, all my posts are still online as are all the free lessons and worksheets. Please feel free to go back and review. I'll be doing the same. Again, thank you for being here.

Okay, apparently my real life work got the better of me and I wasn’t able to post this week’s lesson on time. For that, I apologize. In the last several lessons, we’ve been discussing the present affirmative and present negative conjugations of Godan, Ichidan and irregular verbs. As is the case with all languages, there are many more forms—or conjugations—of the verbs that I haven’t discussed here. Although I may go over them in full in the future, currently my focus is building vocabulary. So, that’s how I will continue. If you would like to see a full set of conjugations of these types of verbs, you can find them in the sources I’ve cited below each lesson/post on conjugating verbs. And, for your convenience, I’ll include them in the citations below for this post. With that said, if I use a sample sentence that, by its nature, uses a conjugation different from those we’ve discussed, I’ll include a notation about it in order to clarify it. Okay, let’s get to it! Today, we’ll go over vocabulary related to going to school. Under Construction due to life and Covid-19Hello, all. Lately, I've been working a great deal and when I'm not working, I've been doing long-needed repairs on my house. All of this has left me little time to research and post the Wordly Wednesday Learning Japanese lessons. Until I have the time I need to research and do my due diligence to make my posts as accurate as possible, I will be taking a short hiatus--at least until after the holidays.
If the work-load lightens and I am able to, I'll be back here posting as usual. Until then, Have a Happy Thanksgiving and I'll be back when I can. As always, thank you for reading. I appreciate every one of you! |
