Couponers Beware! Vons/Pavilions/Safeway has changed its coupon acceptance policy. To read it directly from their site go here. Check out the part about them not accepting any internet printed freebie coupons, too.
Ok, manufacturers ... why not make all your internet coupons loadable to the grocery store club cards? This way, consumers will actually be able to use your promotions as you intend them to be used? Oh and by the way, each Vons worker/cashier/manager/store seems to basically make his/her/its own policy with regard to internet printed coupons. Some stores, Vons and others, won't take them at all. So, Caveat Emptor.** **(Ok, technically that Latin term doesn't apply because I'm not referring to the products as being flawed but the place the products are being purchased. However, I like the way it sounds.) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Note added later upon editing: To be fair to the respective grocery stores, many have chosen not to accept internet printed coupons because some unsavory people have chosen to illegally copy or photoshop coupons (stores can't be reimbursed by the manufacturers for fake coupons and therefore they lose money). So to those of you who are copying and photoshopping coupons: Shame on you for stealing and for ruining couponing for the rest of us!

Remember the beginning days of the internet (that is, the one that was made available to the masses) when finding one website or article would lead to finding another, then another, then another and after several hours or days had passed you realized that you'd missed work/classes and lost time? Ok, I'm exaggerating greatly. But this wonderful, adventurous feeling of random, or Zen, web surfing is what has drawn me to StumbleUpon. In just a half an hour I've learned about new hybrid species, played cute java games, seen wonderful modern art and read about new artists, rediscovered an old web store fav of mine and felt like an internet adventurer again. So (and I am NOT getting paid to advertise it), if you want to regain that feeling of adventure you used to experience exploring the internet universe, give StumbleUpon a try. You can find me on StumbleUpon as TGFCoffee. :) |
