After many years of crowded city living, I've finally moved to the desert house. The impetus for the move was a rather ridiculous rent increase. Let's see: take away amenities, ruin the atmosphere of the property, add vagrants and an armed security guard who's only there now and again (how does that keep us safe from the violent vagrants when he's not even there?!), and for all that extra added joy they raise the rent.
It helps that I am no longer working full time. I am taking care of my mother pretty much full time, and that can be done anywhere. Hence, the move. Not working full time outside of my home makes doing other things that I love possible, like sipping a beautiful, steaming mug of bold roast coffee while looking at the beautiful view. Do you love where you live? Tell us all about your beloved location in the comment section. Have a nice evening and TGFC.
